At Haldi we honour the great traditions of Indian cooking but we’re not afraid to add a modern touch, so expect classical flavours presented with contemporary Melbourne elan.

Our head chef Atar’s culinary teacher was a product of the famous Moti Mahal Daryaganj restaurant in Delhi, originators of butter chicken, so the Butter Chicken taste at Haldi could not be more authentic. Atar has also worked for celebrated chef Sanjeev Kapoor at The Yellow Chilli, as well as in Japan as a TV chef.

Under Atar’s leadership, all of our dishes are crafted from the finest fresh produce and freshly ground spices. Our ingredients are blended with consummate skill to produce treats for both eye and palate. Atar also recognises the importance of vegetables in Indian cuisine and has created a wide range of fantastic vegetarian dishes for your pleasure.
